Residual Life Assessment of Critical Transformers
- Remote Training Seminar

About the Seminar

Power Transformers represent one of the most important and costly components we manage, they make minimal noise, have no moving parts and are often left to age naturally. Advanced technology and engineering mean that transformers built in the last 25 years or so tend to have greater capacity for a much smaller size. What does this all mean? How long will they live? Join this Webinar and we will explore the best methods to determine this.

This Course will cover

  • Transformer construction and basic insulation systems

  • The aging process “what kills transformers”

  • Condition analysis

  • Gas generation in transformers

  • Life assessment & test methods

  • Typical case Study

Learning Outcomes

The following outcomes will be achieved through completion of this training.

  • Identify transformer major components

  • Conduct condition assessments and risk identification

  • Identify early failure mechanisms

  • Identification of importance of oil analysis and relationship to asset health
